SAP and Awasr bring Cloud services to Oman

In an effort to support the Oman Vision 2020 economic diversification and growth initiative, SAP has joined forces with Oman's Internet service provider Awasr to launch Cloud services in the country.
The partnership will see Awasr providing Oman-based organisations with solutions powered by SAP Hana Enterprise Cloud, these cloud-based business solutions providing users access to real-time analytics.
Abdulmonem Al-Futaisi, chief operating officer, Awasr, said: "Our partnership with SAP will provide Oman's organisations with new levels of business competitiveness, unlocking the power of the Internet for economic growth. By using cloud-based business applications, Oman's organisations can enhance their core business, have more productive employees, and better meet customer needs."
In addition to launch of Cloud services in Oman, SAP is supporting the development of Omani entrepreneurs through the launch of the SMB Clinic, where entrepreneurs exchange knowledge of digital business concepts. The company aims to roll out the SMB Clinic to Sohar, Duqam, and Salalah over the next few months.
Additionally, the global enterprise technology provider is bringing its Startup Focus Program to Oman, an initiative designed to support technology entrepreneurs driving solutions on Big Data, as well as real-time analytics.
