Toshiba's new FlashAir cards are available with capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

Storage solutions vendor Toshiba, has launched the next-generation FlashAir wireless SD card that allows users to more quickly share media from their camera to social media and up to seven devices at ultra-fast speed even without a WiFi connection.

The fourth generation FlashAir features a new processor design and delivers enhanced wireless performance and standard SD memory card functionality.

It also offers integrated Eyefi connected feature that prevents a camera automatically powering off when wirelessly connecting with FlashAir.

"We are happy to launch another innovative product in our storage portfolio that will enhance the user experience and help in preserving their precious memories," said Santosh Varghese, general manager, MEA Digital Products and Solutions, Toshiba Gulf FZE.

FlashAir products are SD cards with built-in wireless LAN functionality. This allows data stored on the card to be transferred to external devices such as PCs, smartphones and tablets.

"Wireless sharing has been made easy as this card will benefit both professionals that desire a faster turnaround as well as amateur photographers," Varghese said.

Toshiba's new FlashAir cards are available with capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB with prices ranging from $35, $40 and $60 respectively.
