Nakheel’s Palm Tower on track for Q3 completion
Nakheel, one of the world’s leading developers, said work has been progressing well on its landmark Palm Tower, a luxury project coming up at the heart of Palm Jumeirah, with concrete work on the project nearly 80 per cent completed. A total of 42 floors have been completed on the project while the remaining eight residential floors will be delivered in the third quarter this year, said a statement from Nakheel. Located at the heart of the world-famous, award-winning Palm Jumeirah, the iconic, luxury Palm Tower will have 50 floors of hotel and residential accommodation topped off by one of the world’s highest rooftop infinity pools, a 51-level restaurant complex and 52nd floor public viewing deck. Soaring 240 m above the island, The Palm Tower comprises a 289-room St Regis hotel, 432 luxury residences and an array of dining and leisure facilities. The hotel will occupy the first 18 floors, with fully furnished studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments on the upper floors, said a statement from Nakheel. The Palm Tower’s star attraction is its rooftop dining and leisure complex – a destination in itself – from where residents and the public can marvel at awe-inspiring, panoramic views across Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s world-famous skyline. The rooftop complex includes a 50th floor infinity pool, 210 m above ground, bordering all four sides of the building; a fine-dining restaurant and a public viewing deck, accessible from Nakheel Mall, Nakheel’s new retail and dining destination connected to The Palm Tower, also under construction, it stated. Hotel guests and residents at The Palm Tower will also enjoy priority access to the luxury St Regis Beach Club, part of Nakheel’s Palm West Beach complex, on Palm Jumeirah. Also on the doorstep is Al Ittihad Park, the UAE’s first indigenous park, spanning 1.1 million sq ft across the heart of Palm Jumeirah.
