Bahrain's interior sector gets a make-over
Bahrain-based Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE) aims to take the growing interiors industry in Bahrain and the GCC to a new level with its new Interiors Expo. The exhibition will be held from April 24 to 26 under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. On the revamped show, Jubran Abdulrahman, the managing director of HCE, said: "We have repositioned the former Gulf Interiors Exhibition to its new home which is simply called Interiors. This decision has been taken after feedback from our exhibitors which reinforced our own experience in the market promoting the burgeoning Bahrain and the GCC’s home grown interior talent." Exhibition director Ahmed Suleiman said 'Interiors' is quite simply the showcase for all things related to décor, furnishings and design. "The Interiors Expo will continue to lead as innovative platform to showcase luxury, creative and modern products for the home or commercial spaces," stated Suleiman. Abdulrahman said over the years HCE had seen an increasing number of the products coming to its exhibitions under label ‘made in the GCC’. "The creative industries sectors including furnishings, materials and designs is a growing economic sector across the GCC," he noted. "Excitingly in Bahrain we are developing a growing pool of creative talent in the interiors sector," remarked Abdulrahman. "We are committed to promote home-grown talent at the Interiors Expo where visitors will see local manufacture and design alongside international brands at one strategic platform - Interiors," he added. Features for the new-look Interiors Expo 2018 will include a bargain outlet section for visitors to buy designer furniture, furnishings as well as art and décor from around the world.
