WSP granted new fire credentials by Dubai Civil Defence
WSP has been granted house of expertise credentials by the Dubai Civil Defence [representational image].
Construction consultancy, WSP, has been granted a new set of credentials by the Dubai Civil Defence (DCD).
As a DCD-licensed house of expertise (HoE), WSP is now included in the list of fire and life safety consultants that are vetted and recommended by the Dubai authority.
WSP will be able to carry out peer review work on behalf of DCD, as well as continue to provide the range of fire and life safety services it already offers
To receive HoE expertise, the applicant must go through "a comprehensive qualification process, and is required to employ experts with [more than] 10 years of experience in various fields, including fire and life safety, fire protection, mechanical and electrical engineering, and architecture", WSP said in a press statement.
Commenting on the accreditation, Rob Davies, the head of fire and life safety at WSP, said: "We have the largest internationally qualified fire and life Safety team in Dubai, with an extensive background and understanding of all local requirements.
"This is complemented by our global team of more than 300 fire and life safety specialists.
"We have a proven track record of delivering robust fire and life safety designs on some of the most iconic projects in the region for more than 15 years," Davies added.
