World’s first smart police services centre opens in Dubai
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated yesterday the world’s first smart police services centre at City Walk in Dubai.
The centre will operate round the clock to provide 27 services to the public. These will cover traffic, criminal, and community services, as well as 33 full automated sub-services, UAE state news agency, WAM, reported.
According to the news agency, Sheikh Mohammed instructed the Dubai Police to open more centres in residential and commercial districts in Dubai to provide smart services.
Sheikh Mohammed also highlighted the importance of facilitating easy access and communication between the public and the police.
Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, commander-in-chief of the Dubai Police, attended the inauguration ceremony together with Lt General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, deputy chairman of police and public security in Dubai, and a number of senior police officers.
