Iran's 100kW solar power plant in Isfahan begins operation
Iran has put into operation a 100kW solar power plant in Isfahan.
The annual generation capacity of the power plant is 210,000kW, according to Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
The power plant has a total of 322 units of 310kW solar panels and two 50kW invertors, which will prevent the generation and dissemination of 150,000kg of CO2 annually.
In this power plant, a photovoltaic system employs solar panels to generate electricity directly from sun.
Isfahan province has suitable conditions to generate electricity by solar power plant, IRNA stated.
Earlier this year, researchers from Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) released a study saying that Iran would see financial gains as early as 2030 if it were to start transitioning to a fully renewable electricity system
