HIET to join glass industry to highlight new trends and technologies

Emerging trends in the glass industry to have a direct impact on its future

Specialist firm, Hiet, will join industry peers to discuss the latest technologies and emerging trends in the glass industry at a leading show next month.

The firm looks forward to use Gulf Glass as a platform for glass specialists to access influencers, meet new flat and container glass manufacturers, processors, fabricators, contractors and engineers and develop a more powerful and engaging experience with their customers.

With a rising use of advanced nanotechnology in flat glass, solar control glazing for automotive and building glasses, lightweight glazing glass, and increasing use of hybrid guide plate, the demand for glass is expected to grow immensely across the region.

This demand is being driven by the fast-paced construction market in the region. Currently, projects worth more than $4.3tn are expected to be completed over the next 10 years in the GCC.

At Gulf Glass 2017, Hiet will join more than 200 exhibitors who will showcase cutting-edge technologies, products and services to prominent experts and decision-makers in the glass industry.

Since being established in 2007, Hiet has penetrated new markets and expanded its geographical presence in the Gulf region.

HIET continues to innovate by including advanced features into its customised solutions to always be at the forefront of glass technology developments.

The company also engages in partnerships to provide reliable solutions with the best in the field of glass machinery and products, such as Bystronic, Hegla, Cerion, Viprotron, Ashton, DFI, Helantec, Hanic, Conlux, Hasel Steiner, Erdmann and Vitrosep.

Marcel Dagher, general manager of HIET, says: “As the MENA region proves to be a major glass consuming market, we are focusing on developing innovative concepts, introducing fully automated lines and launching new products and services.”

The biennale event will take place from 25-27 September at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
