Work on Sadad sewerage network 60pc complete


Bahrain's Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning has achieved 60 per cent progress on the Sadad sewerage network project in the Southern Governorate. According to sanitary engineering planning and projects director Nazha Abu Hindi, the project aims to connect 231 houses and real estates to the sewerage network. The sub-sewerage project, which is planned for completion by the end of this year, comprises 4.7 km main connections, 5.3 km sub-connections and construction of 360 inspection chambers.

The BD831,815 ($2.205 million) project is being carried out by Bahrain Pipes & Contracting. The project is part of a string of projects planned for the Southern Governorate, aiming to improve infrastructure in the villages and other areas of the governorate. The ministry is also currently implementing the sub-sewerage network in A’Ali in the Southern Governorate
