General Motors appoints PR firm for GMC, ACDelco in Middle East
GMC has been present in the Middle East for 111 years.
General Motors has appointed Performance Communications to provide communications support for its GMC pickup trucks, ACDelco parts and lubricants, and Cadillac cars in the Middle East.
Performance Communications’ responsibilities will cover strategic consultation, communications, event support and crisis management across all three brands, covering the GCC and Levant countries.
Founded in 2002, with its Middle East office opening in Dubai Media City in 2009, Performance Communications is a specialist sports and automotive communications agency, with clients including Volvo Trucks and Continental Tires, as well as luxury brands like Bentley and Harley-Davidson.
Ian Drinkwater, director at Performance Communications, said: “When it comes to motoring in the Middle East, few manufacturers are woven as closely into the region’s automotive fabric as GMC and Cadillac.
“To be appointed to work with such genuinely iconic brands is a source of great pride to all at Performance, and is indicative of the quality of service the agency has come to be known for.”
GMC has been building pickups since 1902 and has been present in the Middle East for 111 years. Today its flagship pickup for the on-site professional is the Sierra.
Cadillac was also founded in 1902 and has been present in the Middle East for over 85 years.
ACDelco is meanwhile the exclusive original equipment parts brand for Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac, as well as provider of aftermarket parts and lubricants for many other makes and models.
With a century of history behind it and nearly 90,000 parts across 37 product lines, ACDelco is the preferred choice for many professional technicians and countries across the world.
