TDIC's residential community project on track
Abu Dhabi's Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) said work on its residential project Jawaher Saadiyat is more than 22 per cent complete, with ongoing works progressing as per schedule. The master developer of major tourism, cultural and residential destinations in Abu Dhabi, TDIC said Jawaher Saadiyat is a golf course-facing gated residential community within the Saadiyat Beach District. This construction milestone was a result of TDIC’s close collaboration with its main contractor, Al Jaber Building. "We are proud to witness the construction of Jawaher Saadiyat, one of the most distinctive residential projects at the Saadiyat Beach District, currently progressing ahead of schedule," remarked Sufian Hasan Al Marzooqi, the chief executive of TDIC. "With its prime location overlooking the Saadiyat Beach golf course and the sense of exclusivity and lifestyle options it offers residents, Jawaher Saadiyat continues to receive interest from investors and will undoubtedly drive demand for our real estate offerings on Saadiyat even further," he added. The project was awarded in July last year following a competitive tendering process and is scheduled for delivery in the latter half of 2018. TDIC said it has partnered with various banks to offer potential homeowners a range of attractive financial offers. "Prospective buyers can secure their units through an initial 2.5 per cent deposit, with villa and townhouse prices ranging from Dh5.1 million to Dh17.8 million ($1.3 million to $4.8 million)," stated Al Marzooqi. Hadeel Al Qadi, the senior project manager for Jawaher Saadiyat at TDIC, said: "We are working closely with our contractor and consultants to monitor the project’s development and ensure the highest standards are upheld across all phases of construction." "The completion of the foundations for all 83 units is a milestone achievement and we look forward to meeting or exceeding all our future construction targets while maintaining the design and quality of the project," noted Al Qadi. Jawaher Saadiyat will feature 83 exclusive units made up of four to six-bedroom villas and four-bedroom townhouses designed in a contemporary style. Both the villas and the townhouses include two to four garages. The villas, he stated, have been designed to respect the regional requirements for privacy and serviceability, while embracing and including all the conveniences of a modern lifestyle. "Residents will enjoy easy access to first-class facilities, which include a security-controlled gate, beautifully landscaped grounds, multi-purpose court, a gym, adults and children swimming pools, ample parking for residents and guests, a café, a restaurant, a mini mart, a salon and a linear park, including a children’s playground," he added. Jawaher Saadiyat will offer its future residents proximity to some of Saadiyat’s most high-end hospitality, cultural, educational and retail offerings. These include international five-star resorts and leisure facilities within the Saadiyat Beach District such as The St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club and the Saadiyat Beach Club.
The project sits within walking distance from Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, and in proximity to the Saadiyat Cultural District, home to Louvre Abu Dhabi, the first museum to open on the island. Jawaher also offers easy access to the stunning natural beauty of Saadiyat Beach
