Axis Communications has appointed Tertius Wolfaardt as its business development manager for architects and engineers in the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

In his new role, Wolfaardt will be responsible for managing and optimising the network video firm’s relationships with architecture and engineering partners across the region.

Prior to joining Axis’s Dubai office, Wolfaardt worked as a sales engineer and trainer for the company in South Africa.

Commenting on the appointment, Philippe Kubbinga, Axis’s regional director for the MEA, said: “Tertius has been part of Axis in South Africa for over two years, and we are very excited to have him operate our [architecture and engineering] programme from the MEA headquarters here in Dubai.

“With a growing awareness and demand for security solutions, Tertius’s move is timed perfectly to meet partner and customer requirements,” he added.

Axis’s architecture and engineering programme is designed to help network architects, engineers, and consultants design smarter systems.

Sweden-headquartered Axis Communications supplies a broad range of the video surveillance and communication equipment for construction projects across the MEA region.
